Governor Eric Holcomb has presented Inside INdiana Business Contributor Bill Benner with the Sagamore of The Wabash. The award is given to a person who has "rendered a distinguished service to the state or to the governor." Holcomb surprised Benner with the award during a taping of Inside INdiana Business Television. Benner said he was shocked to receive the honor. Benner, who also serves as senior vice president of corporate, community and public relations for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, was recently inducted into the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame.
