AT&T Adds to Fiber Network

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowAT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) continues to expand its fiber connectivity throughout Indiana. The company has launched its gigabit Internet service in parts of Bloomington and Greenfield.
The launch makes the company’s ultra-fast Internet service available in homes, apartments and businesses in the new areas. State Senator Michael Crider (R-28), whose district includes Greenfield, says the service will help create new jobs, grow small businesses and contribute to the growing economy.
"It’s great to see this continued investment by AT&T in our community, particularly in telecommunications infrastructure," said Jeb Conrad, chief executive officer of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. "Businesses of all sizes are seeking out fiber connections, and we’re excited to tell them we have yet another option when they’re looking to locate or expand here."
The launch is the latest for AT&T, which has introduced the service to parts of Jeffersonville and New Albany and Michigan City, as well as parts of Indianapolis, Brownsburg, Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Plainfield, Crown Point, Gary, Hammond, Munster, and St. John
