Heather Allen Hershberger, who has served in the role since 1993, will step down at the end of April. The organization says Hershberger took on the position with an annual operating budget of less than $100,000 and only one staff member. The chapter has grown to a $3.5 million budget with 27 staff members across three offices in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Merrillville. The organization says a search for Hershberger’s successor is underway.
