She previously served in several health management roles, including compliance officer for Chosen Healthcare, director of operations for Advantage Health Solutions, as well as deputy commissioner for health issues and director of education for the Indiana Department of Insurance. Long received her Bachelor of Arts in education and communications from Ball State University. She is currently attending George Washington University for her master’s degree in paralegal studies with a specialty in healthcare compliance. Long is a member of the Medicare Provider Advisory Group as well as a compliance trainer and medical documentation specialist. She is also the author of "Taking on Compliance Dragons: A Guidance Manual for Developing Your Compliance Program." Long is a member of the Women’s Speakers Association, National Association of Professional Women and Executive Women in Healthcare.
