United Way of Central Indiana has named Christina Hage vice president of public policy. She has more than a decade of experience in state and federal government and the private sector with a focus on public policy, communications and government affairs. Most recently, Hage was an advisor at FirstPerson. She also has worked at Cummins Inc. where she was part of a team responsible for internal communications regarding health benefits, wellness programs, compensation and retirement. Prior to that position, Hage served as legislative and policy director for the Family and Social Services Administration. Prior to serving in state government, she served in several legislative, policy, lobbying and communications positions in Washington D.C., including on Capitol Hill, contract lobbying for the State of Indiana and IU Health and spokeswoman for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Hage holds a bachelor of arts in international marketing and economics from Taylor University. She is a graduate the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series and is a member of the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana OPTIONS Class 16. She succeeds Andrew Cullen, who has transitioned to private consulting and will continue to serve UWCI for the push toward pre-k expansion in Indiana in the upcoming legislative session.
