United Way of Central Indiana has announced Sara VanSlambrook is the new director of Great Families 2020, a five-year initiative designed to improve the lives of Indianapolis’ most vulnerable families. She currently serves as a senior program officer for the Local Initiatives Support Coalition, or LISC. VanSlambrook has more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with expertise in program development, grant writing, evaluation, financial management and communications.
