The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has named Matt Mindrum vice president of marketing and communications. He currently serves in the same role at Butler University. Mindrum succeeds Jarrod Krisiloff, who is now executive director of events at IMS. In his new role, Mindrum will be responsible for advancing the IMS’ brand and promoting all of its events, including the Indy 500, Brickyard 400 and the Red Bull Air Race. He begins his new role September 19.
Mindrum has worked at Butler since 2013. IMS says prior to that, he served in a number of roles with Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. where he directed marketing efforts for the pharmaceutical company’s first product launch in the U.S. Alzheimer’s market.
