Ivy Tech Community College has named Alex Huskey interim chancellor for its East Central and Richmond regions. He currently serves as president of Ivy Tech’s Marion campus. Huskey will assume the role in September. He will take over the position left vacant by Andy Bowne, who was appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer of Ivy Tech in July. He will oversee operations for both regions, which cover six campuses in Anderson, Connersville, Henry County, Marion, Muncie and Richmond. Huskey has served as president of the Marion campus since October of 2014. Before that appointment, he served as chairman of the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission and superintendent of the Indiana Excise Police. Ivy Tech did not give a time frame for the selection of a permanent successor for Bowne.
