Greenwood Fire Department Makes Promotions

He has been a member of the department since 1996, serving as division chief of emergency medical services from 2004 to 2015. Hoggatt was named assistant chief in 2015. He received his A.S. in paramedicine from Ball State University in 1994, along with a B.S. in history, biology and chemistry. Former Battalion Chief Brad Coy (pictured) will now serve as assistant chief and Larry Rockwell will replace Coy as the battalion chief. Coy joined the department in 2002, after working as a part-time firefighter and EMT for four years. He previously served as a merit lieutenant and merit captain before his appointment to battalion chief in 2013. Rockwell has been with the department since 1989. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2001.
