Anthem Inc. has named Swati Mathai vice president, account management for the company’s national accounts business segment. She will take over for Perry Pogany, who is retiring. Mathai has more than 20 years of industry experience and spent the past eight years in a regional leadership position at Anthem. She also previously served in various leadership roles in health care and consulting organizations including UnitedHealth Group, Great-West Healthcare and Mercer. Mathai earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of Chicago. She has an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and holds a Master of Public Health degree from University of Massachusetts, School of Public Health.
