Rebecca Winsett, a nurse scientist at St. Mary’s Health System, has been named editor-in-chief of the journal Progress in Transplantation. She has authored over 100 publications on the subject, will continue to work part-time at the health system while working for the journal. Winsett has been involved in transplant nursing since 1976. She will be in charge of the nursing and health professional journal, which includes original research and clinical practice issues surrounding donor procurement and management, pre- and post-transplant hospital care and long-term care of abdominal and thoracic donors and recipients. The journal Progress in Transplantation was founded in 1991.
