Vigo County Nonprofits Score Grants

The foundation’s spring grant recipients for 2016 include:
- Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry: $2,500 for processing fees for donated game/livestock
- Vigo County CASA Kids: $16,000 for Waitlist Reduction Project
- United Cerebral Palsy: $4,600 for updates to Adaptive Technology Lending Library
- Volunteers of America: $1,900 for exercise equipment for Brownstone Manor Apartments
- Hospice of the Wabash Valley: $25,000 for in-patient hospice center
- WCIEDD/McMillan Adult Day Service: $15,000 for adult day service scholarships
- Chances and Services for Youth: $5,000 for installation of splash pad at Booker T. Washington Park
- The League of Terre Haute, Inc.: $2,000 for Clothes Closet support
- Next Step Foundation, Inc.: $10,000 in support of commercial kitchen
- IU School of Medicine/Mollie Wheat Clinic: $2,000 to purchase an electrocardiogram and cover medical test costs
- Art Spaces: $20,000 in support of Theodore Dreiser sculpture
- Friends of the Vigo County Public Library: $5,000 for marketing support for Terre Haute’s and Indiana’s Bicentennial Celebrations
The foundation says the grants were possible with the help of more than 30 funds from throughout the region.
