A vote could come at a special board meeting later this month.
The board says the concerns center on a report from the U.S. Department of Education from earlier this month that was provided to the state Tuesday night.
The state says the Department of Education’s report was dated October 2, but was not provided to the ISTEP+ Technical Advisory Committee until last night. That panel of state and national experts will review the new information and determine if differences exist between the two versions of the test.
In a release from the Indiana State Board of Education, Director of External Relations Marc Lotter called it "unfortunate" that the information was not provided to the state earlier, and said the board will likely need more time to "properly review the material."
The board is set to hold a special meeting October 28 to address new high school diploma proposals. A vote on ISTEP+ cut scores could come at that time if the reviews are complete.
