Carmel-based KAR Auction Services Inc. (NYSE: KAR) has acquired two online sales technology companies. KAR says the deals for Autoniq and instaVIN will benefit sellers and buyers in a market where mobile technologies are “becoming increasingly important.” Autoniq provides dealers with real-time information including history reports, market guides and pricing through a scan of the vehicle's VIN. Autoniq gives buyers and sellers access to resources including CARFAX, AutoCheck and Kelley Blue Book reports.
