Indianapolis-based Fairbanks has named Kent Brown chief executive officer. He most recently served as chief operating officer at Northside Medical Center in Ohio. He succeeds Mark Monson, who resigned last year. Brown has also served as chief executive officer of Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. He earned his bachelor's degree in pharmacy at the University of Illinois and his MBA from the University of Iowa. He is also a United States Navy veteran.

Fairbanks says Brown will focus on long-term strategic planning and partnership development.

In a news release issued by Fairbanks, Brown said, “I am excited to bring my skills and experience to an organization that focuses on adults and adolescents who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. Fairbanks has a strong brand and is an important asset to this community. I look forward to joining the team.
