Trine’s ‘Invest in Excellence’ Nearing Goal

Subscribe NowTrine University in Angola says its “Invest in Excellence” fundraising campaign is more than three-quarters of the way to its $75 million goal. The school says the effort will support its annual fund, provide for renovations and new construction and increase its institutional endowment. Trine says it has already made significant upgrades and additions over the past two years. They include the construction of the $4.5 million Jim and Joan Bock Center for Innovation and Biomedical Engineering, the $8.3 million transformation of the First Christian Church into the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts and the $5.5 million renovation of Ford Hall, which is home of the university's Ketner School of Business.
In addition, the new $7 million Larry and Judy Reiners Residence Hall, which includes 170 beds, is expected to open this fall. Construction is set to begin on the quarter-million dollar Ryan Tennis Center, which is set to be complete this fall.
Trine says enrollment also continues to grow. The university says it set a school record of 3,700 students last fall. Trine is projecting more than 600 new students for the upcoming fall semester.
