DETAILS:

On Friday, May 8, the St.Vincent Foundation will host its eighth annual Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent Celebration of Caring Gala and publicly launch an $8 million capital campaign. The campaign will fund the development and construction of a new facility, the St.Vincent House, which will be built on the campus of St.Vincent Indianapolis, a member of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and not-for profit hospital system.

The St.Vincent House will serve as a home-away-from-home for patient families who live more than 30 miles away from the hospital, especially those facing financial barriers. Patient families with infants who have an extended stay in the NICU, and children receiving long-term care at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent will benefit from the St.Vincent House. Funds raised during this year’s Celebration of Caring Gala will go toward the $8 million campaign goal.

Through the support of the Manning family, sponsors and attendees, the Celebration of Caring Gala has raised more than $7 million for the children’s hospital since its inaugural event in 2008.

Dignitaries and corporate sponsors will attend the premier fundraising gala, while Peyton and Ashley Manning will serve as the honorary chairpersons. Archie and Olivia Manning will also be in attendance.

This year, country music artist Dierks Bentley will provide the entertainment for the children’s hospital fundraising event. The award-winning singer/songwriter has produced eight studio albums; his most recent album is titled “Riser.” Bentley’s studio albums have accrued 12 GRAMMY nominations, notched 13 chart-topping hits on country radio, sold more than five million albums, and received countless Country Music Association (CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Television (CMT) nominations. All of these successes earned the Capitol Records artist an invitation to join the famed Grand Ole Opry in July 2005.

During the fundraising gala, Manning will honor one patient family and the clinicians who cared for the child by presenting them with a True Hero Award.

Sponsors supporting the 2015 Celebration of Caring Gala include: Northside Anesthesia Services, Nationwide Insurance, St.Vincent Emergency Physicians, Papa John’s Pizza, Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman; and Northwest Radiology Network.
