FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Serco, a Britain-based global service company working with governments and businesses, will be seeking 25 customer service representatives at a hiring event April 20.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to noon for WorkOne customers only and noon to 4 p.m. for the general public at the WorkOne Northeast career center, 201 E. Rudisill Blvd., Fort Wayne.
The travel industry jobs are work-at-home positions. The pay is between $9.75 and $11.25 an hour. The required skills include excellent written and verbal communication; ability to navigate a computerized data entry system; and the ability to work in an often-changing, fast-paced environment.
In March 2014, Serco and SIRVA Inc., a logistics and moving services company with offices in Fort Wayne, established a partnership. Serco announced then that with Fort Wayne as a new location for the company, it planned over time to add several hundred jobs in Fort Wayne. Since March 2014, Serco has hired 40 people; the latest hirings will bring the total to 65.
