A new, faster commuter train route between South Bend and Chicago began this morning. The “Sunrise Express” leaves weekdays from the St. Joseph County city at 6 a.m. and will make limited stops along the South Shore Line, arriving in Chicago in under two hours. In the afternoon, it will depart Chicago's Millenium Station at 3:57 p.m.

You can view details of the route by clicking here.

Editor's Note: A previous version erroneously referred to the route's end point as Union Station.
