EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana recently unveiled an online version of the organization's 2014 annual report.
The Coalition acts as the marketing arm as well as the regional economic development and community development organization for Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties in Southwest Indiana and helps facilitate attraction and business retention activities along with supporting efforts to enhance the business climate through regional capacity building.
Over the past 18 months, the Coalition has seen an increase in direct contact by companies looking to relocate. Strategic marketing efforts along with building relationships with key decision makers has helped the brand of Southwest Indiana be pushed to the forefront.
To date the Coalition has helped the region to attract and retain over $2.8 million in investment along with 3,568 jobs. The Community Development Division has helped garner over $73 million in grants that help communities lay the foundation for future economic development.
