Forbes is out with its annual list of the best credit unions in each state, and six institutions made the list for Indiana. The ranking was determined based on surveys of more than 26,000 people throughout the country.
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to conduct the surveys. Participants were asked how satisfied they were and how likely they were to recommend the credit union at which they have a savings or checking account.
Survey respondents were also asked to rate their credit union on factors such as trust, customer service, digital tools, quality of financial advice, and whether fees were transparent and reasonable.
The Indiana credit unions that made the cut are:
- Industrial Federal Credit Union (Lafayette)
- IU Credit Union (Bloomington)
- Forum Credit Union (Indianapolis)
- Centra Credit Union (Columbus)
- Liberty Federal Credit Union (Evansville)
- Hoosier Hills Credit Union (Bedford)
“This is the third time Centra’s commitment to our members has been recognized in the last four years by Forbes,” Centra President and CEO Rick Silvers said in a news release. “It once again proves our dedication to listening, understanding, and serving our Membership with a valuable banking experience each and every day.”
Overall, 222 credit unions were recognized on this year’s list. You can view the full list by clicking here.
