News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Celadon Group, Inc. (NYSE: CGI) “Celadon”, one of North America's premier transportation and logistics companies, has been named the 2015 CCJ Innovator of the Year by Commercial Carrier Journal (CCJ) magazine for its use of technology and software by its Customer Service department to make booking loads a more sophisticated and analytical process and improve the company culture. The announcement took place on February 6 at Commercial Carrier Journal's 2015 Innovators Summit in Florida.

“We had an extraordinary group of trucking companies in this year's class of CCJ Innovators,” said Jeff Crissey, editor of CCJ magazine. “They represent some of the best and most forward-thinking companies in our industry. We are proud to name Celadon Trucking as CCJ's 2015 Innovator of the Year and hold it up as an example to the rest of the trucking industry. The company's transformation of its customer service department and the resulting improvements in terms of employee retention and profitability were certainly impressive, and the things Celadon is doing are applicable to most every trucking company in North America.”

CCJ Magazine, a national leading business magazine for truck fleet executives, features a transportation innovator in each month's issue. The Innovators Summit then brings all the year's monthly Innovators, along with past winners, together to discuss what they are doing to address the transportation industry's challenges and opportunities. While at the summit, the annual winner is selected by the CCJ editors.

“At Celadon, we believe we must continually take steps to earn our customers' business while making our company a top workplace,” stated Paul Will, Celadon President and CEO. “This award is one indication among many that we are succeeding in this endeavor.”

“Over the past 24 months, our customers service and IT teams have worked together to develop this proprietary software that enables Celadon to strategically book orders while creating an better service environment,” commented Will. “The teamwork and innovation demonstrated in this initiative should help continue to expand our leadership position in the transportation and logistics industry.”

Celadon Group, Inc. (www.celadongroup.com), through its subsidiaries, provides long-haul, regional, local, dedicated, intermodal, temperature-controlled, flatbed and expedited freight service across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
