Indianapolis-based Ice Miller LLP has named eight new partners. The firm has offices in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Washington, D.C. January 19, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ice Miller LLP is pleased to announce that eight attorneys have been named new partners of the Firm effective Jan. 1, 2015. The attorneys who have been named as partners are: Haley Altman, Robert Cochran, Isaac Colunga, Audra Ferguson-Allen, Christl Glier, Patrick Kennedy, Stephen Reynolds and Taryn Stone.

Haley Altman concentrates her practice in corporate and securities law, the representation of emerging growth companies and the venture capital firms and strategic investors that finance them. While many of her clients are entrepreneurs, she also represents several private equity firms, venture capital firms and angel funds and has been involved in formation and structuring of start-up and early-stage companies in the Midwest in such industries as technology, life sciences and medical device.

Robert Cochran is a health care lawyer who focuses on health care litigation and white collar criminal defense. As a trial lawyer, former prosecutor and litigator with 20 years of experience, Bob represents businesses, officers, directors and individuals faced with allegations of health care fraud, environmental crimes and other business-related or “white collar” crimes. Bob is actively involved in all stages of these matters, from internal investigations, through grand jury proceedings, to trial. As a health care lawyer, Bob represents health care providers in a full range of regulatory, compliance and litigation matters. These include fraud and abuse counseling, Medicare/Medicaid payment issues, medical staff matters, HIPAA compliance and government audits and investigations. Bob has also prepared medical staff bylaws for hospitals and surgery centers, and represented hospitals and medical groups in privileging, credentialing and employment disputes in state and federal courts.

Isaac Colunga is in the Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Group in Chicago and DuPage County, Illinois. His practice focuses on contract and business disputes, consumer class action defense and employment litigation at the trial and appellate level. Isaac regularly defends companies and executives in disputes that commonly arise out of business transactions, business ownership, management relationships and competitive business environments. These include breach of contract suits, and suits that involve the full range of business torts such as breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, misrepresentation and fraud, and interference with business opportunities.

Audra Ferguson-Allen concentrates her practice on the defense of large, multi-national corporations from both a local and national level. Specifically, Audra oversees national and local defense of all product liability matters for a large product manufacturer. Her work encompasses an array of responsibilities including strategic decision-making, discovery, depositions, motion practice and appellate practice. Audra has extensive experience advising clients on products liability lawsuits related to warnings, design, and the manufacturing of products, as well as risk management issues relating to product safety. Her practice also includes toxic tort defense involving complex, multidistrict litigation for pharmaceutical and device manufacturers in federal and state courts.

Christl Glier's area of practice is focused exclusively on immigration law. She counsels and works with clients in various industries to secure appropriate visa status and employment authorization for foreign national professionals in the U.S. and abroad. Christl's work includes obtaining nonimmigrant employment authorization and lawful permanent residency in the United States for foreign national professionals, managers, executives, outstanding researchers, athletes and religious workers. She additionally assists companies in obtaining temporary employment authorization for professionals on assignment outside of the United States. She also advises corporate clients on I-9 compliance, E-Verify requirements and worksite enforcement issues.

Patrick Kennedy is a member of the Firm’s Business Group and primarily focuses his practice on alternative investment matters. He regularly represents a wide variety of institutional investors and other limited partners in their alternative investments and has significant experience evaluating and negotiating investments of all sizes. He has represented such clients in connection with a diverse range of strategies, including venture, buyout, real estate, infrastructure, hedge, captive and subordinated debt funds and fund of funds. Patrick also assists such clients with direct investments and co-investments, joint ventures, secondary sales, establishing separate account and investment management relationships and advisory board matters.

Stephen Reynolds is a member of the Firm’s the Business Litigation Group, with a practice that focuses on commercial litigation, products liability litigation, contract litigation, privacy and information law, trade secrets litigation, risk management and crisis management. He has represented companies in several types of litigation, including products liability cases, mass torts litigation, trade secrets litigation, securities litigation and other commercial litigation. As a former computer programmer and IT analyst, Stephen is uniquely able to and routinely uses his computer background in cases involving data privacy and security, electronic discovery, social media discovery, and computer forensics. Stephen has given presentations on data privacy and security, electronic discovery and social media discovery and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

Taryn Stone is in the Firm's Business Group, concentrating her practice on various aspects of health law. She represents various providers and suppliers of healthcare services including hospitals, physicians and medical device manufacturers on transactional and regulatory issues. Her practice includes counseling clients on matters involving Medicare conditions of participation, Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement issues, the Stark and Anti-Kickback laws and similar state laws, the False Claims Act, HIPAA and other state privacy laws, and state licensure laws and regulations.
