The National Organization on Disability is out with its annual Leading Disability Employers list, and two Indiana-based companies are included. The list, which is not a ranking, is based on the results of an assessment of business practices related to the “hiring, retention and advancement outcomes for people with disabilities.”

The organization uses data collected from companies using its NOD Employment Tracker, which assesses areas such as strategy, talent sourcing and metrics, climate and culture, people practices, and workplace tools and accessibility.

Evansville-based Old National Bank and Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. are the only Indiana companies among the nearly 60 included on the list.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for what we believe is a differentiator for our team members, clients and the communities we serve,” Corliss Garner, chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Old National, said in a news release. “Our commitment to uplifting people with apparent and non-apparent disabilities promote an inclusive work environment that attracts talent and makes us stronger as an organization.”

Other companies on the list include AT&T, The Boeing Co., Johnson & Johnson, and Toyota Motor North America.
