An event that shines a spotlight on the region's fashion industry will begin Monday in Indianapolis. The fall season version of Midwest Fashion Week will include shows featuring local and international designers, art exhibitions and industry presentations. October 17 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – While the Fall 2014 season is currently underway in Chicago, Midwest Fashion Week is releasing details about each event upon its return to Indy, as well as the more than 40 designers, up-an-coming, and established designers to show their collections on the runway throughout the week.

While the Indianapolis events begin with seminars on Monday, October 20, runway showcases begin on Wednesday at MDG Salon (355 Indiana Ave #100 Indianapolis, IN 46204) at 7:00pm. Hosted by Ms. Klass and Danielle Hester, this free event will feature designs by Rock my Bow tie, Zagwest, Profyle boutique, Loves Hangover Creations, Junkboxx and Sheek Apparel.

Thursday, October 21, brings another great fashion event at the Indianapolis Artsgarden (110 West Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46204) featuring the works of Zhi Zhu, Allusions, Liz Diamond Girl Fashions, Catou, Maryam Garba and Modahnik by Kahindo Mateene from Project runway in a live runway fashion show. Doors open at 6:00pm with the fashion showcase beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online and range from $15-45.

Friday night the events continue at the Artsgarden with even more great designers including Poppy Seed, Semoner Designs, Danny Nguyen Couture, Bahar Reza, Maryam Gaba and Project Runway designer Gunnar Deatherage. Doors open at 7:00pm and the fashion showcase follows at 8:30pm.

The week concludes on Saturday, October 23 with a special event at the Indiana War Memorial (431 North Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN 46204) at 6:00pm. The Association of Midnight Basketball League Programs (AMBLP) Indiana chapter and Midwest Fashion Week present a fashion showcase featuring the works of student designers from Purdue University, Ball State University and Indiana State University, established designers, and children's wear designers as well as live entertainment to say NO to bullying & violence in our schools. Established designers include Pastel, Deidra Coleman, Binta Segale and Kavash by Claire Munyae, while children’s wear will be showcased by Lundon’s Closet, Anzelika Crochet, Spa-tastic and Geek Trends. Tickets range from $10-150.
