LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Three Purdue University professors will headline the 2014 Economic Forecast Luncheon presented by Greater Lafayette Commerce, Thursday, November 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holiday Inn City Centre, 515 South St., Lafayette.
Cost is $25 per person or $200 for a table of eight for Greater Lafayette Commerce members; $35 for guests. Advance registration is required – online at www.greaterlafayettecommerce.com or by phone, 765/742-4044.
“Our presenters, who have considerable expertise in interpreting and predicting economic trends, will give a snapshot of today's economic pulse and short- and long-term outlooks, covering local, national and international activity,” said Lauren Davis, economic development program manager.
Speakers are:
-Christopher Hurt, agricultural economics professor, College of Agriculture, who edits the “Agricultural Economics Report” and specializes in pricing strategies and futures markets;
-Kevin Mumford, associate professor of economics, Krannert School of Management, who specializes in econometrics and has been published in the “American Economic Review” and “Journal of Econometrics,” among others;
-Charlene Sullivan, associate dean of undergraduate programs and associate professor of management at Krannert, who specializes in corporate financial management, financial institutions, markets, cost management systems in manufacturing and capital budgeting.
-Tim Newton, director of external relations and communication for Krannert, will moderate.
