INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Grindery, an urban coworking organization, is hosting a sign unveiling and hour of service on October 6, 2014 from 2-3:30 p.m. at 2711 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street to jump start the renovation of its 800-square-foot space. Once complete, the gathering spot will become a hub for entrepreneurs hoping to turn dreams of starting a business into a reality.
“Over the past few years we have seen the business district along the MLK Corridor undergo an enormous transformation, and as a result, more people in this community are seeking a place like The Grindery where they can live out their dreams of becoming a business owner,” said Dr. Ivan Douglas Hicks, pastor at First Baptist Church North Indianapolis and managing director of the coordinating organization, The Vision Development Center.
In addition, The Grindery has announced its latest business planning series “Business Booster Monday” designed for entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking support, mentorship and advice on operating a business. John McDonald, CEO of Indianapolis-based technology company CloudOne, has been instrumental in developing a curriculum for the multi-week course which will be held on consecutive Monday’s this fall from 5:30-8 p.m. at 877 Udell Street in The Bradley Building, an educational space located on the campus of First Baptist Church North Indianapolis.
