INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Health care advocacy groups are coming together Thursday to ask for a speedy, yet comprehensive, review and approval of Indiana’s proposed HIP 2.0 program.
While the federal comment period on the proposed waiver has ended, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has yet to decide whether it will approve HIP 2.0 as a means to expand coverage to 350,000 Hoosiers.
Health care providers and public health policy advocates will outline why their groups support HIP 2.0, which is based on the successful Healthy Indiana Plan created by the Indiana General Assembly in 2007.
