INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Old National Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of John Myrland as Community Engagement Executive for its Indianapolis Region. Myrland will begin in his position on October 6, 2014.
In this new role, Myrland will work to create and cultivate strategic relationships and partnerships within Old National’s Indianapolis market. This includes involvement and support of critical community projects and programs, and developing and executing community engagement initiatives to strengthen the community. He also will assist with regional business development and public relations efforts.
Myrland brings extensive experience in business and community development. He spent 25 years with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, serving as president from 1991-2005. Most recently he served as pastor of McCordsville United Methodist Church.

Myrland is a graduate of Indiana University and of the Course of Study School at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Northwestern University.
Throughout his career, Myrland has devoted countless hours to community and civic organizations. Currently he serves on the Board of Trustees for University of Indianapolis and on the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Indians and Indiana Blood Center. He is also a past Chair of The Board of Trustees of the Oaks Academy and is active in the Indianapolis Interfaith Hunger Initiative (IHI).
