Officials have cut the ribbon on a $7.2 million apartment complex that will soon house at-risk young adults. Residents will move into the new living space later this month. Mayor Henry told those attending the celebration that The Courtyard is an example of great things taking place in Fort Wayne.

“Thanks to the compassion and dedication of area neighborhoods, non-profits, foundations, and our financial and development community, a once-blighted property is now home to an innovative development for some of our most vulnerable young adult,” Henry said.

The Courtyard is a $7.2 million, 47,000 square foot apartment complex that will be home to 18 to 25 year-olds who are aging out of foster care or at risk of becoming homeless.

The complex has 24 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments.
