EVANSVILLE, Ind. – HCW Evansville Development Inc. (“HCWE”) an Indiana corporation, headquartered in Branson, Missouri, announced today, that HCWE's franchise application has received final approval by the applicable franchising subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide, Inc (“HILTON”). HCWE has been working with HILTON and the DoubleTree brand since late 2012 when the two entities responded together to answer the City of Evansville “Request for Proposal” for a downtown hotel and Convention Center developer.

“We are obviously pleased to confirm Hilton's approval for branding the Evansville downtown hotel under the DoubleTree brand,” said Rick Huffman, CEO and Managing Member of the downtown hotel and convention center. Huffman further stated, “The HILTON franchise has placed a great deal of interest and focus on the DoubleTree brand throughout the world. The Hotel and Convention Center will be managed by Pillar Hotels and Resorts (“PHR”). PHR operates three (3) other properties under Ownership, including two full service Hiltons of Branson, located in Branson, Missouri.

Chris Russell, CEO of PHR stated, “The DoubleTree brand is the perfect flag for downtown Evansville. The hotel will provide hotel service and accommodations and enhance the customer experience of those patrons taking advantage of the events at both the Ford Center and The Old national Events Plaza.” Russell also said, “we are excited to join the Evansville Community and look forward to working with all the various individuals and entities that make the city so great.”
