A major economic engine in southeast Indiana could potentially generate another 250 jobs. Multiple publications are reporting an auto supplier is planning to locate to a new facility in America Place Business Park at River Ridge Commerce Center by September. The identity of the employer is not being released at this time. Smith says several other companies have expressed interest in the park, which is located across from the Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) Fulfillment Center. The News and Tribune in New Albany reports the auto supplier will initially occupy a 150,000 square-foot facility and could potentially expand into a yet-to-be-built adjacent structure.

In March, Swiss auto manufacturer Autoneum also announced plans to locate to the Jeffersonville center. That company intends to create 220 jobs.
