SAN DIEGO, CA & INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Health Industry Forum (IHIF) is leading a delegation of Indiana universities and businesses to participate in the BIO 2014 International Conference and Convention, taking place this week in San Diego, CA. The conference is the world's largest gathering of the biotechnology industry. This is the third consecutive year that the Forum has exhibited at the show.

“Our delegation represents a diverse array of our life science community here in Indiana,” commented Kristin Jones, President and CEO of IHIF. “This conference is the optimal opportunity to connect the companies, technologies, and talent that we are presenting and representing to the international biotechnology community.” The companies and organizations participating in the IHIF pavilion include: Purdue University's Discovery Park, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, ATAIN, BioStorage Technologies, Commissioning Agents, Inc., Bulley & Andrews, Rene Medical, ImmuneWorks, Inc., The Indy Partnership, The Global Pain Initiative, and Biologics Modular. Additional Indiana companies exhibiting at the show include Barnes & Thornburg, LLP, Cook Pharmica and Cook General Biotechnology, Commissioning Agents, and the University of Notre Dame.

“We appreciate the opportunity to participate with IHIF in the BIO 2014 show,” says Wade Lange, President and CEO of bioscience company ImmuneWorks. “It gives us a chance to connect with investors and companies that would be difficult to track down individually and through the shared booth, we get the benefit of added exposure for our company without having to invest time and resources in our own exhibition stand.”

There are several events for Indiana delegates to participate in during the exhibition including: the release of the BIO/Battelle State Initiatives Report on Tuesday, June 24th, an in-booth demonstration of BIO BizLink – a new CRO/CMO search tool for better connecting vendors with the bioscience research community on Wednesday, and the Purdue University Open House, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

IHIF's participation in BIO 2014 is sponsored by: Purdue University/Discovery Park, Commissioning Agents, Inc. BioStorage Technologies, Inc., The Indy Partnership, Bulley & Andrews, and ATAIN.
