Indianapolis-based Cityscape Residential LLC is moving forward with plans for a $40 million apartment complex in Louisville. The company says the 300-unit Axis Apartments will be built on the former site of a rail car processing facility. It will be the company's second development in the Louisville area. The Louisville Metro Planning Commission last week unanimously approved the plan. Cityscape says the future of the 9-acre site has been in question for nearly 10 years.

In March, Cityscape announced plans for a $30 million apartment community in Louisville.

The company was launched last year. It includes executives who have led large-scale developments in central Indiana and Kansas.
