MacAllister Machine Co. Inc. is proposing to build a new headquarters on more than 130 acres in Indianapolis. The heavy equipment supplier's plans to rezone the property are set Thursday to go before the Metropolitan Development Commission hearing examiner. The proposal includes corporate office, rental and storage space.

The property is currently farm land that is situated very close to I-465 and I-74 on the city's southeast side.

The more than 60 year-old company has been at its current location since the 1960s and says the new site would offer room to expand for two decades or more.
