Tech Company Announces Another Expansion

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – hc1.com, Inc., a healthcare cloud platform provider, announced plans today to expand its headquarters here, creating up to 175 new jobs by 2019.
The homegrown-Hoosier company will invest $2.5 million to lease and renovate an additional 9,466 square feet to expand its current 16,626 square-foot headquarters facility at the Northwest Technology Park in Boone County. hc1.com, which moved into its new location this past February, expects the new space to be operational by the end of the year.

This is hc1.com's third major expansion in central Indiana in the last three years. Just last November, hc1.com announced plans to invest $1.4 million to expand its Indianapolis headquarters, creating 62 new jobs. Also, in 2010 the firm made plans to invest $321,250 to expand its Boone County operations, adding 61 new jobs.
hc1.com, which currently employs more than 90 associates, including 70 full-time Indiana employees, has already begun hiring additional software engineers, sales executives, product solution architects, client success managers, reporting analysts and operations personnel. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered hc1.com, Inc. up to $2,985,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. Boone County approved additional incentives at the request of the Boone County Economic Development Corporation. hc1.com has been a 21 Fund portfolio company since late 2010.

Forbes recently ranked the Indianapolis area among the nation’s top 10 metro areas for technology job growth. Additionally, a report released by TechPoint last month showed that from 2009 to 2012, computer-related employment in Indiana grew 5.4 percent, from 57,750 jobs to 61,050. Almost half of those jobs – 48 percent – were located in the Indianapolis-Carmel metropolitan statistical area.
