Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard is slated to go before a group of federal legislators Thursday morning in the nation's capital. The U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is gathering testimony about funding for alternative transportation projects. March 26, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Mayor Greg Ballard will testify Thursday before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works regarding federal funding for projects such as bike lanes, trails, greenways, and other alternative transportation projects.

Indianapolis has used federal funding programs to help construct the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Monon Trail, the Fall Creek Trail, Illinois and Capital Ave bike lanes, and Washington Street pedestrian improvements.
