A former state representative has launched a public affairs company in southwest Indiana. Sally Rideout is behind Rideout Public Affairs. She was elected to the Indiana House in 1994 and has also served as a vice president with the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana. The University of Evansville Trustee has spent the past 11 years with Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA). December 9, 2013

Newburgh, Ind. – A new, full-service public affairs company, Rideout Public Affairs LLC, has formed in Southwest Indiana, led by a former state legislator and experienced business and community leader.

Sally Rideout has established Rideout Public Affairs, which will focus on state and local government affairs and communications opportunities in Indiana.

Rideout will use her diverse background and extensive experience working in all aspects of public and government affairs to assist clients. She has spent the last 11 years working in various communications and government affairs roles for Alcoa, the global aluminum manufacturer.

Many remember her election to the Indiana House of Representatives in 1994 and her service as Vice President Government Affairs for the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.

Rideout is extensively involved in the community, serving as a Trustee at the University of Evansville, on the Executive Committee of the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana, on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Warrick Hospital, and on the Steering Committee for the Women’s Fund of Warrick County. Her work has earned various honors, including the 2007 Evansville area ATHENA recipient, the University of Evansville 2008 Outstanding Young Alumna, and the 2007 Business Leader of the Year from the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity at the University of Evansville.
