Purdue University says more than 50 faculty and staff members secured patents during the 2012-2013 fiscal year. The Purdue Research Foundation recognized their contributions Wednesday during the annual Inventors Recognition Reception. Purdue Research Foundation says 314 invention disclosures, 491 patent applications worldwide, 106 issued patents worldwide and eight startup companies were tied to Purdue-licensed technologies.
