The report, conducted by Kentucky-based Certec Inc. and commissioned by the Steuben County Tourism Bureau, says the industry is tied to more than 2,600 area jobs. Last year, 1.9 million people visited the northeast Indiana county, which is known for picturesque lakes and Pokagon State Park.
The findings suggest tourism is linked to nearly $43 million in direct wages and salaries.
