Indianapolis, Ind. — WebStream Sports, a leader in digital video production and services, is opening its second office. The second office will be located in Charlotte, NC. The new office will be lead by Tom Cavanaugh, former vice president for production at Speed TV.
The expansion of WebStream Sports, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., will enable the company to fully service one of its newly named partners in the region, the Big South Conference, while enabling the company to continue to grow and develop its business in the southeastern portion of the United States.
The office's first event is a Big South football production on ESPN3, Saturday, September 14. Big South member institution Gardner-Webb University hosts a non-conference game versus Richmond University at 6:00 p.m. ET.
WebStream Sports, a privately owned company founded in 2006, has steadily grown since its inception. In addition to the Big South Conference, WebStream Sports provides live production services for Turner Sports, ESPN, NCAA, Horizon League, Missouri Valley Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, Indiana High School Athletic Association, IUPUI and more.
“WebStream Sports has seen significant growth in the last 24 months with its operations based centrally in Indianapolis, Indiana,” said Greg Weitekamp, president and partner of WebStream Sports. “In order to fully service new and current partners and maintain the WebStream Sports production model; expanding our operations to other areas of the country is a necessity and a natural evolution for the company.”
