Governor Mike Pence has made multiple appointments to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees. They include former U.S. Congressman Ed Pease.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Governor Mike Pence today named appointees to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees.

Jeffrey Taylor, of Carmel, has been named to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees. Taylor recently retired from Pearson Plc, which is one of the world's largest education companies, where he held a number of leadership positions within the company including Senior Vice President of U.S. Government Policy and Investor Relations. Prior to joining Pearson in 2000, Taylor served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of National Computer Systems, an education testing and software company. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Capella Education Company. Taylor is a graduate of Indiana State University. He will serve on the Indiana State University Board of Trustees for four years, effective immediately.

“With proven leadership and extensive business experience, Jeff Taylor will be a valuable member of the Indiana State University Board of Trustees,” said Governor Pence. “I am grateful to have someone with his talents willing to serve on the board.”

Entering her sophomore year, Erin Sluyter will serve as student trustee on the Indiana State University Board of Trustees. Sluyter, of Terre Haute, is majoring in biology and is active with the Indiana State University Honors Program, and Saint Joseph’s Parish. Erin serves as a Sycamore Ambassador on campus and is a Welcome Team Leader with the Office of Admissions. Sluyter will serve as an Indiana State student trustee for two years, effective immediately.

Pence reappointed Ed Pease, Senior Vice President with Rolls Royce America, to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees. He will serve on the board for four years, effective immediately.
