Volunteer Organization Launches Search For CEO

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Timothy R. Campbell, President/CEO of Volunteers of America of Indiana has announced his plans to retire from his position at Volunteers of America of Indiana effective August 23, 2013. Mr. Campbell joined Volunteers of America October 30, 1995 and served as the Chief Operating Officer until his appointment to President/CEO in September, 2000.
Mr. Campbell states, “It has been a privilege to be part of an organization that makes such a difference in the lives of at-risk Hoosiers all across the state of Indiana. With the recent opening of our Liberty Landing facility in Fort Wayne serving homeless veterans, our Gardens on Carolina senior center opening in Gary soon, and our new array of non-residential services supporting veterans and individuals returning from the correctional system… these are very exciting times for our organization. Now in our second century of service, I am certain that the future for Volunteers of America of Indiana is a bright one.”
Board Chair, Deborah Balogh states, “Tim has dedicated himself for the last 18 years to the needs of our citizens who are at-risk, especially the homeless ant those returning to the community from prison. He has been a strong and compassionate leader who, through the expansion of services and support for these individuals, has truly made a difference in our community. We are grateful for his many contributions to Volunteers of America. We will miss him and we wish him the very best in the future.”
Volunteers of America of Indiana is a $9 million non-profit with 120 employees that operates facilities in Indianapolis, Evansville, Gary, Fort Wayne and Terre Haute. A search committee has been established to seek qualified candidates for Mr. Campbell's replacement.
