They include a $65 million renovation and expansion of Indiana State University’s College of Health and Human Services, a $10 million hall for the Marching Hundred band at Indiana University and Ball State University’s $5 million improvements to Emens Auditorium.
The commission also cleared an amended lease agreement between Purdue University and the Ross-Ade Foundation to include the $65 million player performance complex for the Boilermaker football team. Construction could begin in May and is expected to be complete in August of 2017.
The ISU project is expected to begin in June and wrap up in early 2019. The new and renovated space will house six of seven departments within the College of Health and Human Services.
IU is looking to build a nearly 34,000 square-foot facility for the school’s marching band. Marching Hundred Hall will provide access to Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium.
Ball State’s work on its large performance hall, Emens Auditorium, will be financed from private donations. It will include a larger first and second-floor lobby, plus hospitality, bathroom and support space.
These projects will head to the state budget committee for final approval.
The following degrees were approved by the commission:
Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of Southern Indiana, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Southern Indiana
Master of Science in Nursing at Indiana University Southeast
