Union: Carrier Deal is ‘Major Victory’

The head of the local union representing hundreds of Carrier Corp. workers affected by plans to move operations to Mexico says he has not spoken with company or Trump administration officials yet about an agreement to keep 1,000 of those jobs in the city. United Steelworkers Local 1999 President Chuck Jones says, despite being a critic of President-elect Donald Trump in the past, he wants "to give the man credit" for helping put together the deal.
