There was another big announcement at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this week. The IMS and Energy Systems Network have announced a $1 million prize competition surrounding autonomous vehicles. The Indy Autonomous Challenge will feature universities from around the world creating software for self-driving Indy Lights cars. IMS President Doug Boles and Energy Systems Network CEO Paul Mitchell explain how the two-year competition will culminate in a head-to-head, high-speed race in 2021.
