As we continue our series on Indiana Landmarks 10 Most Endangered List, we step back in time to the end of the 19th century when many Midwest governments required the sheriff to live next door to the jail to maintain security. The building served as the county jail and law enforcement center for 125 years. This year, the county opened a new $16M facility and began taking bids to tear it down.
