Indianapolis-based cloud services company Appirio has been acquired by an Indian company in a $500 million blockbuster deal. Wipro says the acquisition will create "one of the world’s largest cloud transformation practices." Appirio will maintain its brand and team, including Chief Executive Officer Chris Barbin.
