Connecticut-based Pitney Bowes Inc.has officially opened a 450,000 square-foot fulfillment center in Greenwood. The commerce services company says it plans to grow the facility’s employee count from 100 to 300 over the next year. Senior Vice President Nick Pellegrino says the center uses automation technology to put fulfillment, delivery and returns services under the same roof. The company says growth in demand, specifically in ecommerce, made the expansion necessary.
