Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. (NASDAQ: ALGT) has announced plans for a $40 million, two-aircraft base at Indianapolis International Airport. The low-cost carrier says the investment involves up to 66 jobs. The facility could be operational in February and bring with it additional routes in the future. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the new positions are expected to pay 85 percent higher than the state’s average wage.
